It is completely optional for you to make a payment through the Site(s). If you elect to make a payment through this Site(s), however, we will ask that you provide us personal information, such as your last name, zip code, reference number, and balance due. Once you submit this information and click the “Next” button, you are directed to the Authorize.Net payment gateway to complete the online payment process.  Additional personal information is requested on the Authorize.Net paymentportal that is necessary to complete your payment transaction. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the privacy practices of Authorize.Net. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for Authorize.Net’s  policies whatsoever as we have no control over them. The Rawlings Group does not respond to “do not track” signals. What information does the Rawlings Group have about me beyond that information provided through its Site(s)?

Our health plan clients provide us Personally Identifiable Health Information about their health plan members securely, in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), so we can determine whether claims they covered were paid correctly and by the correct party. We also obtain information from commercially available sources of claims, demographic and similar information. We do this to make sure the correct insurance carrier covers medical claims and to make sure we have the correct addresses and identifying information for people we need to contact to do our work.

In the course of performing our services for health plans we may receive additional information from third parties including but not limited to attorneys, medical providers, courts, state and federal agencies, and insurance companies and insurance services offices.

 

How does The Rawlings Group use and disclose my information?

To the extent we determine it is necessary in order to provide our services, and as permitted by HIPAA or other applicable law, we may use and disclose the information we receive to your health plan, to third parties, including, but not limited to, our service partners who provide information security, and legal service provider to us or to you, to other insurers, and to other parties when we are legally or contractually required to disclose your information. We and our service partners use your Personally Identifiable Information to operate our site(s) and to deliver their services. For example, our online payment transaction service provider must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment on your account; release your payment information to the health plan that you paid through our site. We may also use your information for our own internal purposes and, where appropriate, to contact you directly. Our employees’ access to information is restricted to those who need to know the information for business purposes.

By submitting a telephone number to The Rawlings Group, you agree that a representative of The Rawlings Group may contact you at any number you provide, including a mobile phone number.

We may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide Personally Identifiable Information to the appropriate governmental authorities. We may disclose Personally Identifiable Information upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe may be unlawful.

Rawlings is a HIPAA Business Associate of its client health plans. In compliance with HIPAA Rawlings has developed systems, procedures and training to protect the personal information that is entrusted to us.

 

We have implemented appropriate safeguards to protect your information from improper access, use and disclosure. First, we use a secure operating environment to protect information we receive. We limit access to your information to only those employees with a business need to do so. Finally, we take care to dispose of information securely so that third parties will not be able to access it.While we are committed to protecting your privacy, please be aware that no transaction over the Internet can be completely secure, and transmission of data online is therefore entirely at your own risk.

Pursuant to Connecticut Public Act No. 08-167, this Privacy Protection Policy outlines the additional security measures we use in regards to our collection, storage, and disposal of Social Security numbers. We regularly review our physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to ensure they effectively protect the confidentiality of Social Security numbers. We limit access to Social Security numbers to only those persons with a legitimate business purpose and prohibit the unlawful disclosure of Social Security numbers. We also provide appropriate training to our employees.
